The official trailer for Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty is finally here — and it’s packed with drama, love, and important choices.One major question is front and center: Will Belly end up with Jeremiah or Conrad?
In the newly released trailer (June 11), we see Belly (played by Lola Tung) still torn between the two Fisher brothers — Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). In a heartfelt voiceover, Belly shares where her heart might be leaning: “First loves are important. But they’re not as important as lasts… I loved [Conrad] in a way you can only love someone the first time. But that’s the past. Jeremiah is my future. He’s The One.”
The trailer teases a possible wedding between Belly and Jeremiah — but it’s not all smooth sailing. Their decision to marry causes tension with their friends and family. As they face doubts and pressure, Conrad contemplates sharing his true feelings with Belly… before it’s too late.
For fans of Jenny Han’s original book trilogy, this love triangle is familiar territory. In the final book, We’ll Always Have Summer, Belly makes her choice — but the show might be heading in a different direction.
In fact, actor Gavin Casalegno hinted at possible changes:
“There’s a strong chance the show could stray from the books,” he told Us Weekly in 2023. “Jenny writes the story so well that I trust wherever it goes.”
Lola Tung also welcomed the idea of changes, saying:
“Every decision Jenny makes is to serve the story. She’s never going to do anything that doesn’t make sense.”
Jenny Han, the author and creator of the series, teased that fans can expect some surprises:
“There are things book fans know — and things they think they know. But we’ve got some twists coming.”
And just because this is Season 3 doesn’t mean it’s the end. According to Amazon and MGM’s head of TV, Vernon Sanders, Jenny Han is already planning what comes next:
“This series is a big priority for us. Jenny has an exciting vision for more stories in this universe.”
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 premieres on Prime Video July 16. Whether you’re Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah, it looks like this season will keep everyone guessing until the very end.
